well, i finally figured out that if you use the sliver variant of the SF commando you can plant your hero just west of (and behind) the res shrine in the first chamber of ahdashim explorable, then run around and group everything up and just sliver them all to death...works pretty well, only annoying part is when sliver switches targets/angelic bond

so far ive snagged 4 essences, a lockpick, and a black dye on this build..havent been using it too long either

Gift of the Djinn take that quest 600 /smite with famine go nm fight all the way kill all djinns. killthe 2 bosses for quest . go to tresure room 20 saps spawn its pro

Murphy strikes again... I had 30+ of these essences, saving them for collector weapons and then merched them when I thought I had enough weapons.... drat!

if you have a way of healing yourself, the djinns use Heart of Holy Flame (striking you for 66 dmg in HM) and when it ends you burn for a while

There are 5-10 Sapphire Djinns with associated Roaring Ethers along the east wall in The Mirror of Lyss. PermaSF sin or ObsFlesh ele with sliver kills them easily (pull the djinns away from ethers and chain the kills so that you always have 2 mobs aggroed). Start from Dzagonur and take the elemental bounty from shrine if not yet max LB. Took about half an hour to farm enough essences for 2 accounts.

I have never done this quest before but is there a spot for a hero to be parked in range? And maybe have a Perma dagger Death Blossem build while being enchanted with mending and live vicarously and strength of honor from afar. Granted you would lose some drops

there is 6 djin (max 4 saphirres ) just outside of gate of desolation, easy to solo farm with junundu... kill rezone repaet... boring and it takes time but doable.

Same problem here , killed at least 70-80 sapphires djinns and not 1 single drop , seems a-net have the ability to screw up a supposed fun aspect of their game even when they dont mean to ,note to a-net : in future maybe it would be more fun for us if the item Nicky needed actually dropped once every so often. Q_Q

Wish I had spent the weekend farming these for Sunspear points in Lyssa's Mirror, I might actually have some.

As it is, I did the Hidden City mission, and none dropped. What is going on?

see my post earlier in the thread, but yes, you can plant a hero safely (most of the time, only if you break with the first group aggrod, which i only did once cuz i went too far west)

I have a feeling that (these) essences will retain their price through the week much more than most traveler drops have so far.
